Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

SLPAs operate under the supervision of a Registered Speech Language Pathologists to provide speech therapy to clients. They help implement the goals set by the Speech Language Pathologist through direct client treatment.

Victoria earned her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from UBC and her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Greek & Roman Studies from the University of Victoria. She has been practicing as an SLP since 2017 and has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, including: acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and community/in-home. Victoria specializes in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and developed the treatment protocol used by Strathcona Speech clinicians.

She is a registrant in good standing with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHPBC), and is certified in Speech-Language Pathology by Speech Audiology Canada (SAC).

Anastasia is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist that specializes in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, dysphagia management, speech/articulation, accent modification, and acquired brain injuries. She strongly values research, evidence-based practice, and client-centered care. She believes that clients should have a say in the therapy they receive and every session should be tailored to the individual.

Leif is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). They received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Sciences, with a minor in Asian Languages and Culture from the University of British Columbia. Leif’s SLPA experience began in 2018 through volunteering with a speech therapy group for young adults with developmental disabilities. In 2024, they began working at a pediatric speech therapy clinic with a focus on children with Autism. Their current focus is on Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
